Photo Restoration

I’ve found myself doing a lot of personal photo restoration lately. I’m not sure if I’m feeling nostalgic or if I’m simply a perfectionist that can’t stand to print or archive photos without first “fixing” them. Hipster Animal Poster – Bad News

It really pains me to share this with you; the limited run of 100 screen prints of this poster didn’t turn out. As you can see above, the green that was printed is TREMENDOUSLY different than the green in my original illustration (Scroll down to see the original illustration). For that (and a few other reasons) these posters will not be up for sale now or ever. The prints are simply not up to my standards. I had the chance to sit down and talk photography, design, & life with the super-talented photographer, Jaclyn Tyler. She had some fantastic fresh ideas about shooting the upcoming Harbor Athletic Club launch (starts tomorrow!) which I can’t wait to try out. Studio Update

This past week has been one of the most unproductive of my career. Nothing catastrophic – just a lot of bad timing. Computer maintenance, working off-site, having to re-create lost files from the hard drive crash, and a usually-quite-helpful-husband out of town all seem to add up to a draining week with (pretty much) no real progress to speak of.
